I take two guns with me, one for a back up in case the other one has issues. I will switch them during the first week.
winchester 1300 short barrel in Obsession Camo, great gun with the old style federal premium #5 shot. Then I have a rem 870 that i use rem Nitro #5s. Both of these guns are great in the woods and have taken a good few turkeys with them.

I had a NE pardner single shot turkey gun that landed me a few birds when I first started, I love my 835 though.

I love the old HR single shots, they are great guns. I had my pardener turkey gun and I owned a HR sidekick muzzle loader, great guns. marlin makes good products but now HR and marlin are merged I have my reservasion that now there is some outsourcing and more automation and there firearms may not get the human touch they did before.

For the last few years I have used a 1st generation 3.5" Remington Camo 870, not drilled for a scope. The tube is a Jellyhead 0.670. Best shell is the 3" Win. XX 2 oz. of #4s. Normally I don't try a shot over 40 yds. Inside of that distance, its turkey strips for supper grin!
