Remember PalTalk? Well now YOU DON'T HAVE TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE WHOLE PROGRAM. It has a JAVA Client, similar to the one I've been using to get folks into the mIRC room. I think this opens us up to a lot more people and has some very good, and easy to use features. Especially for me the room owner, as well as for any Admins.

If you see my name (FullStrut) in the room, it is very likely I am not really there. I have to keep my name there so that the room will be open. If everyone seems to like & use the room, I will select several admins to help run the room and they can also open it whenever they choose, but if No admins open the room, it does not exist. This is the same with mIRC accept that ONLY an admin can open this one. The good thing about this though is once you register your nick with PalTalk, IT IS REGISTERED FOR GOOD.
IF YOU PREFER, and if you have bought a new computer in the last year or 2, Paltalk has GREATLY improved and you may want to try downloading the latest version and giving it another go. It still has the BASIC version for FREE but you only get video in the rooms for 10 sec. trials and you still have the ADS. In an IM I think the video stays on. (Also in an IM you can set the mic for handsfree and both chat on mic back and forth almost simultaniously) The video for the REGULAR membership is FULL MOTION (6 cams max viewed), stays on and you have NO ADS. If you pay for the X-TREME, The video is like realtime and unlimited cams can be opened. If you download the full version (not the JAVA Client) you can also log into your AOL, ICQ and MSN messengers and add those contacts to yout Pal list and even invite them into the room.
