To all that knew Jim Putz (shortspurs)from Iowa, He has now joined the great flock in the sky. Jim passed away on June 16th, 2009. I didnot know about it 'till now, Dec 19, 2009. He always wanted to go to Montana huntin' Merriams, but we didnot make it. We'll sure miss him,Kodiak IP: 70.130.136.18 |

When I heard the news I was speachless, I went to my hunting gear and got out the slate call Jim had made for me. I sat there quietly yelping and purring, and thinking back on all the fine conversations we used to have in the chat room. I will truly miss Spurs, But a small piece of him will always be with me, the sound of that call will always bring fond memories of an old freind.

Dan, I have one of those calls also. I remember when he was making them and he said that he sent you one that was cracked or broken, but that you wouldn't know the difference anyway . That was funny. We spent lots of time talkin' on the chat-room, sometimes late at night. I don't have Warren's e-mail.The old one don't work.I have posted this info. on other turkey-huntin' websites.Spurs was a good guy, Kodiak IP: 70.130.140.73 |
