Anyone been testing the newer turkey loads yet ? How about any new choke-tubes you recently aquired, what size and why ?

I still have loads left-over from '06 that I never tested, so I have my own homework to complete.

I got some hevi 13 to try this year plus a hevi shot choke to put in my Benelli. Want to try some of the Winchester extended range stuff. I am sure I will go back to my lead loads but I just like to try different things. Plus on some of the federal refuges, they make you shoot non-toxic shot.

I tried some of the hevi 13 out of my Benelli and Remington and it all shot pretty good. I bought a box of the Winchester xtended range turkey load in 3" #6 for my 870 that I won at a NWTF banquet. That stuff shot unbelivible out of a xtra full choke. It almost too tight of a pattern if that is possible in a turkey hunting gun. I tried several different shells and chokes but that stuff did the best. I had to try something different because I can't find the old Federal shells that I had been shooting.
