Took the ol' 870 to the range this AM. Tried a new tube, a Primos Jellyhead 0.665 ported tube ($40). With the Win. DblXX 3", 2 oz. of #4s, at 35 yds. It put 55 hits in the head/neck area of a Quaker Boy Turkey target. Only 25 pellets were outside the 12" circle. Then I tried a MadMax 0.665 tube with same load and it placed 44 hits in the same head/neck area. About 45 pellets are outside the 12" circle. Tried the JH with an assortment of other 3" loads and they were less hits than the Win. xx loads. Two targets were used for each load (OUCH!!!!). Fired 24 shots!!! Some day, when I win the lottery, I'll try some $$$$$Nitro custom loads. And have somebody else do the testing, LOL.

Here's something more; My 3" shells have 262 #4 pellets in each shell. 20% of them hit in the head/neck area. 62% of the load hit inside a 12" circle at 35 yards, perfectly centered around the birds head/neck area.Looks like a turkey killin' machine to me !!!!!!.
